Full Basketball & Pickleball Court Construction

Location: Odessa, FL

Project Narrative

This project took place on a unique property—an old wedding venue being transformed into a private residence. The homeowner wanted to create a full-scale, dual‑purpose athletic court capable of supporting both basketball and pickleball for family recreation and entertaining. With no existing sports slab on the property, we were tasked with building the court entirely from the ground up.

We began with full excavation, removing 7 inches of base material before installing a compacted 5-inch crushed rock foundation. On top of the engineered base, we paved 2 inches of S95 hot mix asphalt to create a durable, long‑lasting playing surface. To maximize the structural integrity of the new slab, we framed the court with a 6×6 concrete curb, adding stability and a clean finished edge.

Once the asphalt cured, we surfaced the court using custom-tinted SportMaster materials, applying both acrylic resurfacer and acrylic color coatings to achieve a vibrant, professional appearance. The final layout included a full basketball court with two pickleball courts integrated on either side. We completed the project with premium equipment installations to bring the entire space to life.
