Community Half-Court Basketball Resurfacing

Location: Wesley Chapel, FL

Project Narrative

The Arbor Greene CDD community had a unique challenge: eight individual half-basketball courts spread throughout the neighborhood—each in significant disrepair. The courts, located roughly a mile apart from one another, had widespread cracking, surface damage, and general aging, all of which made them unsafe and uninviting for community use.

Our team mobilized a multi-crew, highly coordinated operation to efficiently rehabilitate all eight courts despite their separation. Each court required structural crack repair, surface restoration, and leveling before resurfacing could begin. We used Acrytech’s professional acrylic system to deliver durable, vibrant, competition-ready half courts that unified the community’s recreational amenities.

Scope of Work

  • Repaired cracks and surface imperfections across all eight courts
  • Applied patch binder to rebuild damaged areas.
  • Scraped, grinded, and leveled each court individually.
  • Installed Acrytech acrylic resurfacer.
  • Applied Acrytech premium acrylic color coatings.
  • Painted fresh basketball court lines on every court.

Outcome

Despite the logistical complexity of servicing eight courts spaced throughout the community, Arbor Greene now has a complete set of revitalized, high-quality half basketball courts. The newly resurfaced courts provide residents with safe, attractive, and consistent recreational spaces—breathing new life into the entire neighborhood.
