Full Tennis Court Reconstruction & Resurfacing

Location: Clearwater, FL

Project Narrative

This was one of the most extensive private tennis court restorations we have undertaken. The court was in extremely poor condition, presenting severe structural cracking, widespread surface failure, and even potholes throughout the playing area. The client needed a complete structural rehabilitation—not just a cosmetic resurface—to bring the court back to safe and playable condition.

Our team began by addressing the deep potholes and structural cracks using a specialty patch binder mixture consisting of Portland cement, Sport Patch latex, and sand. Once the damaged areas were filled, we scraped and grinded the entire court to re-level the surface and remove aging, failing layers.

To prevent existing cracks from returning to the surface, we installed fiberglass mesh across the entire court, significantly strengthening the slab and extending its lifespan. After this reinforcement system was completed, we applied SportMaster acrylic resurfacer and followed with premium acrylic color coats. A brand-new tennis net system finalized the transformation.

Scope of Work

  • Installed full-court fiberglass mesh to prevent crack reflection and strengthen the slab.
  • Applied SportMaster acrylic resurfacer.
  • Applied SportMaster premium acrylic color coatings.
  • Installed a brand new permanent tennis net system.

Outcome

This severely deteriorated tennis court was fully rebuilt into a structurally sound, professionally finished playing surface. With fiberglass reinforcement, premium surfacing materials, and a new net system, the court now provides long-term durability and a fresh, competition-grade appearance.
